“The simple fool, with a slow mind and a deep heart, smiles because it is enough.” - Dawn Stratton
Dawn Stratton brings 20 years experience in anthroposophic study and practice to her work as a clown and teacher. She has a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s in education and has been teaching and mentoring in Waldorf Schools for the past ten years. Currently she is simply a fool, having worked and performed at conferences with researchers such as Dennis Clocek (on alchemy and the imagination), Frank Chester (on his newly discovered 7 sided solid and the sacred geometry of the heart) and Adriana Kulias (on the being of Anthroposophia). She is the founder of the Mercury Project – an initiative for the New Renaissance in North America. Visit her website at http://www.thesimplefool.com/
Meets from 9:30 – 11 every morning. These workshops are required for festivalforum fools.
(All age, experience levels and physical abilities encouraged. If your heart is fluttering with joy or fear, this may be the workshop for you! )
Playing in the actual realm of imagination, the simple fool lives in the threshold between matter and spirit. It is this space that the art of the simple fool approaches. By awakening to the thoughts and feelings of the authentic Self, we can discover an infinitely wise, funny and creative being – the clown within.
