Bringing Songs Together

Meeting different cultures through music should be the goal of this gathering. Many People have to bring songs with them in order to set the condition for this project to work. Ideally everybody teaches the group their song, but you also have the opportunity to teach it to me, so I am able to share it with the others.  Each day will sing and share our music with the festival.forum!

Simon lives in the Ruhrgebiet, Germany. He will be finished with school this summer. His interest in music started in England when he was 12 years old and joined the Choir, “Stream of Sound”, led by Caroline Price. It was an interest in international traditional music that made him want to carry on with music in Germany, when he moved back at 15. After not finding a choir that suited his idea of singing, he decided to found his own choir as a year project for school: Sarantanani (www.myspace.com/chorsarantanani). He also sings in a Ska-Band and does other music projects with friends. His biggest experience as a music instructor so far was the “Connect Conference” in 2007, where he led the entire conference in song.
